Zennor Mermaid - Relief / Letterpress Print

Zennor Mermaid is a relief print, made from two blocks that have been cut, inked and then printed using a F.A.G. letterpress proofing press onto Zerkall cotton rag printmaking paper.

This print is of the mermaid in the legend from Zennor at the tip of Cornwall. There is a carving of her on the end of a pew in the church there.

Edition of 100, numbered, titled and signed.

Sarah Young is a painter, printmaker, illustrator and maker working with narrative themes often inspired by myth, folk tales, circus and burlesque imagery. As a printmaker she is known for her lino and wood cuts but she also works in screen printing, mono print and collagraph.
